The migration phenomenon is shaping itself as a social and cultural, natural one. Regardless  the causes of its formation, the contemporary man is not different  from the ancient one in any way in the artist’s vision. The nature of this process comes from elections that are taking shape around the human need for safety and comfort.  Whether we are talking about the physical safety we feel that the juncture of a war-affected geographical area or about the financial security of a better living, in the artist’s view we are all becoming migrants – immigrants and migrants – for a clearly justified reason.
In composing the interior of the installation, through the way the lamps were arranged, Zoița (Delia Călinescu) resorts to the use of a universal coded language of Morse type, thus building the visual character of the installation. The Morse International Code is a common language that can be understood by anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, etc. Through him, the artist conveys the message: “Freedom for all,Libertate pentru toti”.
The work Interrupted messages is part of the project.
